Sumit is a director and all-around creative force, born in Münster, Germany. Before moving into directing, Sumit systematically gained extensive experience in all departments of the moving picture industry, from set runner to producer, and worked on numerous productions across Europe, while living in Berlin.
Today, Sumit lives near Stuttgart and has been studying directing, with a focus on commercials, at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg since 2023.
In addition to commercials, Sumit also directs narrative work, most recently the comedy short "Gefallen" for ARTE/SWR, is currently developing a feature film, and is in Pre-Production for a Sitcom.
The core philosophy on sets directed by Sumit is: have fun doing it.
Because without fun, there is no purpose.
